We have known Bob and Maria too many years to try and count, they are without a doubt two of the nicest and most engaging people we know. This is important when you spend long hours driving all over town with your realtor. It takes time to find the right property, you might as well enjoy the time spent looking.

During the recession in 2008, Maria suggested that it would be a good time to shop, knowing that we had an interest in rental property. The timing was good for us, so we set off together to find a property. The Holzmuellers not only have tremendous knowledge of the Austin housing market, but they are experienced landlords as well. They confidently answered every question we had during the property search. At the end of the process, we were confident in our understanding of the market and we ultimately purchased a great duplex on the same street as a property they already owned.

We decided to remodel our duplex right away as a means to increase the rent. Whenever we had a gap in our list of contractors, Bob always came through with a good recommendation from his rolodex of high performers. After the remodel, we increased the rent by 30%, and we have had excellent cash flow and annual appreciation ever since. In fact, we will probably be looking to purchase another property in the next year or two.

Since we bought a great property in a great location, our duplex has stayed rented. However, on two different occasions, we had renters depart during our summer vacation. Fortunately for us, the Holzmueller Group has a solution to this problem too. Jade was available to list and show the duplex while we were out of town. Jade helped us with all the details that were needed to close the deal and get new renters in place.
